Welcome to Golden Glazed (“Golden Glazed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website located at https://goldenglazed.com (the “Site”), as well as any products, services, or transactions offered through the Site.
By accessing or using the Site, placing an order, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or place an order.
1. Nature of Our Products and Services
Golden Glazed offers custom, made-to-order baked goods, including but not limited to cakes, mini cakes, cake flight boxes, and event-based cake experiences. All products are prepared based on customer-selected options, availability, and production capacity.
Because our products are customized and perishable, all orders are subject to the policies outlined below.
2. Ordering & Customization
When you place an order through the Site:
- You are submitting a request for a custom-made product
- All selections (flavors, frostings, toppings, infusions, drizzles, quantities, etc.) are provided by you
- You are responsible for reviewing your selections carefully before submission
Golden Glazed reserves the right to confirm, adjust, or decline orders based on feasibility, scheduling, or availability.
3. Lead Time Requirements
To ensure quality and availability, the following minimum lead times apply:
- Standard orders: must be placed at least 1 week (7 days) prior to the requested fulfillment date
- Custom cakes, specialty designs, or event-related orders: must be placed at least 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the event or pickup date
Orders submitted without sufficient lead time may be declined or rescheduled at Golden Glazed’s discretion.
4. Pricing & Payments
Pricing
- Prices displayed on the Site are subject to change without notice
- Customizations may affect final pricing
- Taxes, fees, or additional charges may apply
Payment Methods
Golden Glazed may accept:
- Manual or offline payments (e.g., Zelle, Cash App, Venmo)
- Invoice-based payments
- Online payment methods where available
- In-person payment arrangements (where applicable)
Orders may remain pending until payment is confirmed. Golden Glazed reserves the right to cancel unpaid orders after a reasonable period.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to the custom and perishable nature of our products, cancellations are subject to the following terms:
- Cancellations made at least 7 days in advance: eligible for a 75% refund
- Cancellations made at least 3 days (72 hours) in advance: eligible for a 50% refund
- Cancellations made within 48 hours or less: no refund
Refunds, where applicable, are issued to the original payment method or via an agreed-upon alternative.
Once preparation has begun, no refunds will be issued, regardless of timing.
6. No Returns on Custom or Perishable Goods
Golden Glazed does not accept returns. Refunds are limited strictly to the cancellation policy above.
We do not issue refunds for:
- Customer preference or taste
- Incorrect selections made by the customer
- Event changes or cancellations outside our control
- Failure to review order details before submission
If Golden Glazed makes a verified error (e.g., incorrect item prepared), please contact us promptly for review.
7. Food Allergies & Dietary Disclosures
Golden Glazed products may contain or come into contact with:
- Dairy
- Eggs
- Wheat
- Soy
- Nuts
- Other common allergens
We do not operate an allergen-free kitchen.
Customers are responsible for determining product suitability. Golden Glazed is not liable for allergic reactions.
8. Pickup, Delivery & Risk of Loss
- Pickup and delivery details will be communicated during order confirmation
- Once an order is picked up or delivered, risk of loss transfers to the customer
- Golden Glazed is not responsible for damage caused by improper handling or storage after fulfillment
9. Events, Deposits & Special Orders
For events, large orders, or Cake Bar Experiences:
- Deposits may be required
- Final balances may be due prior to the event date
- Additional event-specific terms may apply and will be communicated separately
10. Intellectual Property
All Site content, including logos, branding, images, text, graphics, and designs, is the property of Golden Glazed and may not be copied or used without prior written permission.
11. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for unlawful purposes
- Submit false or misleading information
- Attempt to disrupt Site operations or security
- Harass or abuse Golden Glazed staff
Golden Glazed reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Golden Glazed shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
- Use of the Site
- Consumption of products
- Delays beyond our control
- Customer-provided selections or information
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable order.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Golden Glazed disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Venue for disputes shall lie exclusively in El Paso County, Texas.
